Hans Freudenberg



Before founding Findos Investor, Hans Freudenberg acted as a Principal at Bain Capital. His professional career began in 1995 at Arthur Andersen where he specialized in transaction services.


Hans Freudenberg holds a degree in business administration from the Mannheim Berufsakademie and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Olaf U. Rogowski


Before founding Findos Investor, Olaf Rogowski was a Director for Corporates Markets and Leveraged Finance at HypoVereinsbank in Munich, London and New York. Before the acquisition of his MBA, he was a partner of a Start-Up business in the area of personnel consultation and responsible for finance and legal matters. He began his professional career in a mid-market consultancy for strategy development.

Olaf Rogowski studied economics at the Freie Universität Berlin and holds an MBA from Bocconi School of Management, Milan / Stern School of Business, New York.

Dr. Wolfgang Ziegler

Senior Partner


Before founding Findos Investor, Dr. Wolfgang Ziegler was a Director at EQT, Munich. Prior to EQT, he was project leader in the Corporate Finance Team of Arthur Andersen (today Ernst & Young), Frankfurt. Dr. Wolfgang Ziegler practiced law at the higher regional court of Vienna as well as at a commercial law firm in Vienna before receiving his MBA and joining Arthur Andersen.

Dr. Wolfgang Ziegler holds a Ph.D. in law at the University of Vienna as well as an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus Graduate School of Business.

Olaf Kensy



Olaf Kensy joined Findos Investor in 2011 from Granville Baird, a Hamburg based private equity fund focused on small and mid-cap transactions in the German market. Prior to his 10 years at Granville he was project leader in the Corporate Finance Team of KPMG, Frankfurt.


Olaf holds a master degree in business and engineering (Dipl. Wirt.-Ing.) from Karlsruhe University and completed part of his studies abroad at Lunds University, Sweden.

Verena Mohaupt


Verena Mohaupt joined Findos Investor from Allianz Capital Partners, where she acted as an Investment Manager. Prior to this, she was Co-Founder and Board Member of AG (a European online shopping portal). She began her professional career as Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs followed by several years of consultancy at McKinsey & Co.

Verena Mohaupt holds a degree in business administration from Muenster University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Birgit Ausfelder

Director Financing


Prior to joining Findos Investor, Birgit Ausfelder worked as a consultant to small and medium-sized companies as well as private equity funds. She has more than 11 years of experience in acquisition finance and most recently, after holding positions at Investkredit Bank and Société Générale, Director/ Authorised Signatory at DZ Bank in Frankfurt.
After completing her training as a bank clerk at HypoVereinsbank, she studied economics at the University of Regensburg.

Daniel Ollert

Transaction Director


Daniel Ollert joined Findos Investor in January 2018 from AGIC Capital in Munich where he acted as associate. His professional career began as analyst in the investment banking division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London.


Daniel Ollert holds a degree in business administration from the Technical University of Munich (TU München).

Rune Symann

Investment Manager


Rune Symann joined Findos Investor in 2018 from Glencore in Zug (Switzerland) where he was asset manager (zinc department). His professional career began as M&A analyst at ABB, a global leader in industrial technology, in Zürich. 


Rune Symann studied International Management and Finance (M.Sc.) at the Copenhagen Business School and at HEC (Hautes Études Commerciales) Paris. Before he graduated in Economic Science at the University in Aarhus.

Christa Scherrer

Investment Manager


Before joining Findos Investor, Christa Scherrer was a manager in the financial due diligence department at PricewaterhouseCoopers AG in Switzerland. Prior to that, she gained experience in restructuring and reorganisation advisory at PwC, M&A at Alantra and structuring of structured products at Leonteq.


Christa Scherrer studied Banking and Finance (M.A.) at the University of St. Gallen and at the National Taiwan University. Previously, she completed a B.A. in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen and at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Karolin Kopplin

Investment Associate


Before joining Findos Investor, Karolin Kopplin was an associate at the Boston Consulting Group in Munich, focusing on strategic transformation and commercial due diligence projects. Prior to that, she worked at the management consultancy Strategy& GmbH and in investment banking at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt.


Karolin Kopplin studied Economics and Finance (M.Sc.) at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt a.M. and the EDHEC Business School in France. Before that, she studied Economics (B.Sc.) at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Muenster and at the American University in Washington D.C., USA.

Phillip Popenda

Investment Associate


Before joining Findos Investor, Philipp Popenda was an analyst in the M&A department at William Blair in Frankfurt am Main. Before that, he gained experience in private equity and investment banking at GIMV and ODDO BHF AG.

Philipp Popenda studied Finance (M.Sc.) at the Antwerp Management School. Before that, he studied economics (B.Sc.) at Leibniz Universität Hannover.

Jan Hähnel

Jan Haehnel joined Findos Investor in 2018 from MCH Management Capital Holding, a small-cap investment company. He supported and accompanied a portfolio company in a restructuring process as operative managing director. Prior to this, he was investment director at BayernLB Capital Partner for 4 years, responsible for a number of medium-sized investments. Whilst working at Granville Baird, a private equity fund, for 7 years he accompanied several transactions. Jan Haehnel began his professional career as audit manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers (financial advisory services) in Frankfurt.


Jan Haehnel holds a degree in business administration from University of Tuebingen.

Stefan Happak

Stefan is Managing Director of fi Portfolio Management GmbH. Before joining Findos Investor Stefan was Managing Director at UniCredit Markets & Investment Banking, co-heading the German team of the Acquisition Leveraged Finance group. From his 11 years in Leveraged Finance where he was responsible for originating and arranging LBO transactions he spent 2 years in London focusing on Mezzanine Financing and 2 years as a team leader covering subordinated debt solutions for German sub-investment grade corporates.


Stefan Happak graduated at LMU University in Munich before he joined HypoVereinsbank in 1995 where he started in corporate banking in Bielefeld.

Dr. Joachim Scholz

Joachim Scholz joined Findos Investor from Rothgordt & Cie., a consultancy specialized in M&A and commercial advisory. Prior to that, he worked with myQube, a venture capital fund focusing on high-tech companies. He started his professional career in the Automotive Competence Center at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Stuttgart, Munich and São Paulo, where he headed the practice group supplier industry.


Joachim Scholz holds a Ph.D. in international management from University of Eichstätt. He studied business administration at University of Hohenheim and University of California, Los Angeles.

Peter Schulz

Before joining Findos Investor Peter Schulz acted as executive consultant specialized in the health industry and corporate restructuring. Prior to that, he was CEO of Domus-Homecare-Group, an international manufacturer of medical aids. Prior to this, he worked as COO in the health division at Triumph-Adler AG. He started his professional career at A.T. Kearney, an international consultancy. 

Peter Schulz holds a degree in business administration from University of Mannheim and an MBA from City University of New York.

Bernd Strack

Prior to joining Findos Investor, Bernd Strack worked for Freudenberg SE for around 10 years in various management functions and has supported numerous acquisitions and integrations. Following its acquisition, he was Managing Director and CFO of the Capol Division for more than five years. Bernd Strack began his professional career at KPMG and for several years was engaged in portfolio companies of various financial investors as tax consultant and auditor.


After completing a bank apprenticeship, Bernd Strack studied business administration at the University of Cologne (Diplom-Kaufmann) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Nicolai Tobiesen

Before joining Findos Investor, Nicolai Tobiesen was a partner at a management consultancy specialising in M&A in Munich, which he also co-founded. He assisted German SMEs in the sale and acquisition of companies and supported the respective CFOs in the 

areas of controlling/reporting/financing. Previously, he worked at goetzpartners Corporate Finance and started his career at KPMG Corporate Finance in Frankfurt and Copenhagen.


Nicolai Tobiesen studied Finance (M.Sc.) at Copenhagen Business School and HSG Sankt Gallen. Before that, he studied Business Administration (B.Sc.) at the University of Bath in the UK.


Sabrina Bleyer

Finance Director

Until December 2004 Sabrina Bleyer was a project leader and advisor to customers in the area of financial services of Management Partner, a Stuttgart based consultancy firm. Prior to this, Sabrina Bleyer completed a trainee program at Dresdner Bank AG, Frankfurt and worked in the area of private customer/investor management in investment and commercial paper funds.

Sabrina Bleyer holds a degree in business administration at the European Business School, Oestrich Winkel.

Sibylle Block


Before joining Findos Investor, Sibylle Block was office manager in charge of certain areas of finance and controlling at an interim management firm in Munich.

Sibylle Block completed her vocational training as health-care management assistant in 2007 in Hamburg followed by studies in business administration (VWA). In parallel to her studies, Sibylle was executive assistant at the Tabea clinic in Hamburg.

Jens Kohlmann

Until February 2016 Jens Kohlmann worked as senior for Ernst & Young and serviced clients in different sectors – inter alia business administration from the private equity business. 


Jens Kohlmann holds a degree in business administration at the Julius-Maximilians-University in Würzburg.

Corina Mayer



Before joining Findos Investor, Corina Mayer managed the front and back office of a church/charitable institution. Before that, she worked in the purchasing department at Galaria Kaufhof GmbH. 

After graduating from school, Corina Mayer spent a year in the USA studying American Culture/Child Care in New Jersey. She then completed a commercial apprenticeship.

Melanie Mohaupt



Until December 2006 Melanie Mohaupt was Personal Assistant to the Editor-In-Chief of the leading German weekly "Die Zeit" located in Hamburg. Prior to this, she filled the same position from 2002 to 2004 at "Der Tagesspiegel", Berlin.


Her professional career began at different media companies such as ProSiebenSat1 in Munich. Melanie Mohaupt studied Media Studies at the University of Cooperative Education for Advertising and Marketing (BAW) in Munich.

Hans Pretz

Before joining Findos Investor, Hans Pretz was a member of the executive board at Techpilot, a medium-sized technology company. Before that, he was responsible for product management at Mercateo for eight years. 
After studying International Business and Management in Groningen (NL) and Toronto (CA), he started his career in business development at the French engineering services provider Alten Group.

Dr. Jessica Wilckens

General Counsel

Before joining Findos Investor, Dr. Jessica Wilckens worked as legal counsel for GLNS Rechtsanwälte und Steuerberater Partnerschaft mbB in the area of corporate / M&A, in particular for clients from the private equity sector. Prior to this, she worked for several years, most recently as Senior Associate, in the Corporate / M&A department at Clifford Chance Deutschland LLP and advised mainly on corporate transactions.

Dr. Jessica Wilckens studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona and the Freie Universität Berlin and received her doctorate at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. She completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich.
